About Candlelight Minstries

Candlelight Ministries became a reality on July 3rd, 2007 after much prayer, supplication and confirmation from the Holy Spirit. All staff and volunteers have a desire to enhance the lives around them particularly those of the elderly, the permanently disabled and families with disabled children. Our mission is to reach out by providing food boxes, visiting, listening, assessing needs and helping with applying for qualified services. Candlelight Ministries is a non-profit faith based organization. We are in the process of applying for a 501(c)(3) status.

Food or Medicine

Many elderly find themselves faced with the decision of paying for necessary medication or buying food. With the cost of medication, insurance supplements and deductibles many can’t afford nutritious food. Candlelight Ministries provides food boxes that may contain items such as dried beans, canned vegetables, pasta, juice, toiletries and laundry soap. By providing these items it lessens some of the burden for them.

Quality of Life

When we identify a need we try to meet that need matching it with the services available. We offer help with applying for these services such as food stamps, Medicaid, and fuel assistance. We try to help with domestic issues such as house cleaning and lawn care utilizing volunteers, businesses and church youth groups. We provide church services, bible study and communion in the home upon request. Ministering to the physical and spiritual needs is important t improving quality of life for the people we serve.
